We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in phlebotomy and demonstrate proficiency in various techniques. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate blood collection and contributing to patient care.
Duties
Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures for blood collection, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent contamination.
Accurately label and process specimens for laboratory analysis.
Document patient information and procedures performed in accordance with hospital protocols.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care.
Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to phlebotomy practices.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a hospital or general practice environment is highly desirable.
Certification or training in phlebotomy is essential.
Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, as well as medical terminology.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
