WHAT TO EXPECT

As a Lead Bluetooth & Telephone Software Architect, you\'ll be part of the Telephone squad. You will be responsible for the coordination of architecture, interfaces and requirements to deliver a suite of exceptional infotainment features for our vehicles

You\'ll be supporting the software development of the solution architecture for a product or a group of products, working with the architects from other squads to ensure interfaces are well defined, dependencies between the squads are clear and to resolve architecture or development issues.

You\'ll be active in the management and mitigation of technical risks, ensuring that the requirements can be realistically delivered by the underlying technology components. You will support the team in case of critical technical delivery issues in your product group/domain.

You\'ll have the opportunity to be involved in the development of the future of automotive and will be influential in the development of the Software platform and features for Jaguar Land Rover vehicles across the range.

You will:

  • System architecture for infotainment features.
  • Collaboration with other squads to ensure interfaces between components are well architected.
  • Evaluation of multiple system design concepts and maintenance of integrity between systems and components to arrive at a harmonised solution.
  • Work closely with the squad\'s product owner and systems engineers to translate customer/business needs into system requirements and high-level designs.
  • Review and sign off low level designs.
  • Service orientated API definition.
  • Authoring requirements
  • Cross functional technical reviews
  • Conduct root cause analysis on defects, identify interim and permanent fixes.
WHAT YOU\'LL NEED

Essential:
  • Relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
  • High proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tools
  • Experience in one of the following: embedded systems, automotive, aerospace, or transportation software
  • Understanding of vehicle network architecture and service orientated architecture
  • Experience in Software design for Bluetooth features such as Telephone, Audio Streaming
  • Technical knowledge on core Bluetooth and BT Profiles: Hands Free, AVRCP/A2DP, Message Access, Device ID, Phonebook Access
