JOB PROFILE



JOB PURPOSE



To exceed customers' expectations through the provision of expert advice on all matters relating to amateur and professional photography, videography, photographic equipment and printing.

To contribute to the profitability of the business by optimising opportunities to generate sales.

As part of the staff team, enhance the Cambrian Photography brand and reputation, and give customers the best possible experience.

TASKS

SHOP



Display items for sale or demonstration in the best way to attract customer interest. Keep displays, and the shop in general, clean and tidy. Identify when items needs re-ordering. Welcome customers and other visitors to the shop. Deal with enquiries via the website, email and social media. Talk to customers, in person or electronically, to identify their needs. Using your knowledge and experience, work with the customer to find the most appropriate solution to their needs. Conduct any necessary research to enable you to give the best advice. Take payments. Negotiate part-exchange deals. Receive items brought in for repair, send items to be repaired, return to the customer in person or by post. Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with suppliers' representatives. Keep product knowledge up to date, undertaking any training required. Take photographs e.g. passport photographs, headshots.

PRINTING LAB



Maintain printing equipment, calling service engineer when necessary. Keep the Lab area clean and tidy. Maintain appropriate stock levels of materials. Talk to customers, in person or electronically, to identify their needs. Advise customers on the range of print products available, and help them to decide what would best meet their needs. Carry out printing, and check for quality.

Qualifications (useful but not required)



Proficiency in photography and photo editing techniques Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Capture One, and Adobe Creative Suite Familiarity with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro Strong understanding of social media management and journalism principles Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and creative vision

Pay: From 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
