Job Description

We're working with a tech company looking for a skilled PHP Developer to help develop and maintain a suite of real-time audio and alert solutions. This is pure, framework-free PHP, ideal for developers who enjoy clean, low-dependency coding and full control over architecture.

What You'll Do:

Write and maintain vanilla PHP (no frameworks) Develop APIs and manage real-time WebSocket communication Handle MySQL database design and optimisation Build dynamic UIs using JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap Support a custom auth system, including Azure integration Work on Linux-based environments with server-side scripting
What You'll Bring:

Strong vanilla PHP and MySQL experience API design & integration skills JavaScript & AJAX for frontend interactivity Familiarity with Linux CLI and server environments Security awareness and ability to work autonomously
Bonus Points:

Experience with real-time systems or IoT Background in audio/broadcasting platforms Comfortable debugging on deployed Linux-based devices
This is an onsite role in Preston 5 days a week and therefore should you not be able to commit to this or hold full right to work in the UK - please do not apply.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
