skilled and passionate Mid/Senior level PHP Developer

to join our engineering team and contribute to building exceptional software solutions for our clients.

Job Summary

As a PHP Developer at

WestLink

, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-performance web applications and services using PHP and modern frameworks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable code and ensure the seamless deployment of products that meet client needs.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications and APIs using PHP and frameworks like Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to WestLink's quality standards. Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, and other back-end engineers to implement full-stack solutions. Integrate with third-party APIs, libraries, and services. Participate in the complete software development lifecycle: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.*
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues efficiently.*
Contribute to code reviews, testing protocols, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.*
Stay current with PHP trends, tools, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team.*

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a PHP Developer.*
Strong knowledge of PHP 7+ and OOP principles.*
Experience with one or more PHP frameworks (Laravel preferred).*
Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases.*
Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).*
Strong experience building RESTful APIs and working with external services.*
Solid version control knowledge using Git.*
Understanding of secure coding practices and performance optimization techniques.*
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.*

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.*
Experience with Docker, CI/CD workflows, or DevOps tools.*
Familiarity with AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.*
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and sprint-based development.*
