Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled PHP/Full Stack Developer to join our MDTS team. You will be a valuable part of the client services team helping to maintain, update and build websites using our preferred framework, Laravel. You will be working on new features, changes and the occasional bug.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both front-end and back-end development, with proficiency in a variety of programming languages and frameworks. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Use your experience building commercial web applications using the Laravel framework, Vue.js, Nuxt.js and REST APIs. Provide professional support to clients by delivering reliable solutions and developing client relationships Play an integral part in designing and building a large volume SaaS solution within the Automotive industry. Product Development - Continuous Delivery (CD/CI). R&D: Research new technologies, bringing forward ideas that can take Nexus Point to the next level within the Automotive sector using technology. Write unit and functional test cases. Designing and working with relational SQL databases. Training and development. Requirement gathering and solutions analysis.

Required skills & abilities

Proficiency in coding Responsive Web applications using:-

Laravel or; Symfony / similar modern MVC framework (minimum 3 years experience) PHP 7.1 with a solid knowledge of OOP methodologies HTML5 CSS3 (SASS) Javascript Responsive frontend framework GIT version control. Preferred experience in leveraging CMS platforms, including WordPress. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform/browser issues, performance optimization, and other aspects of managing web server platforms. Familiarity with Responsive Web Design, semantic markup, Open Graph Protocol and other mobile and social oriented technologies is desirable
It would also be an advantage if you have working knowledge of:

MySQL NGINX VueJS v2 / Nuxt (or similar i.e. Angular) SSH/FTP/S3/HTTP(S) Web Services: XML, JSON, AJAX MySQL /Postgres (or similar relational database) Docker AWS

PLEASE NOTE: We only accept applications from those within a commutable distance to our Winsford, Cheshire based office as you will be required to work from our office 1 day a week (Mon-Fri). The other 4 days can be worked hybrid from home.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-48,000.00 per year
