About the Role
West Ham United Football Club is offering an exciting opportunity for placement students to join the
Women's First Team Football Science & Medicine Department
for the 2026/27 season.
This one-year placement will support the delivery of the elite
physical development programme
within the Women's First Team, providing invaluable hands-on experience in an elite, professional football environment.
Working as part of an experienced, interdisciplinary team, you'll gain exposure to planning, delivering, and reviewing on-field, gym, and rehabilitation sessions. You will collaborate closely with coaches, physical development coaches, performance scientists, nutritionists, physiotherapists, and psychologists to help optimise player performance and provide practical performance solutions.
You'll also assist with player monitoring, testing, and data collection, while contributing to the design and delivery of individual development and training programmes. This is an outstanding opportunity to apply and develop your knowledge of
strength and conditioning
in a high-performance, Women's Super League environment.

Essential Criteria
The placement must form part of your degree programme, with an end date after January 2027.
Ability to commit to the full 2026/27 season.
Enhanced DBS check with Child's Barred List required.
Ability to travel between multiple Club training and matchday venues.
