Job Summary

The Physical Therapy Aide plays a vital role in supporting the physical therapy team by assisting with patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the therapy environment. This position involves working closely with patients to help them achieve their rehabilitation goals while maintaining a positive and encouraging atmosphere. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, an understanding of IT systems, and a passion for teaching and guiding patients through their recovery process.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients. Prepare treatment areas and ensure all equipment is clean and functional. Help patients with exercises and mobility tasks, providing encouragement and support. Maintain accurate records of patient progress and report any changes to the therapist. Educate patients on proper techniques for exercises and activities to enhance their recovery. Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient files. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the therapy setting.

Requirements

Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Basic IT skills to manage patient records and scheduling systems effectively. Previous experience in a healthcare or rehabilitation setting is preferred but not essential. A keen interest in teaching or guiding others through physical activities. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Compassionate nature with a desire to help others achieve their health goals.
