Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting physiotherapists in delivering high-quality patient care. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and have a keen interest in the field of physiotherapy, particularly in paediatrics.

Duties

Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, clients own homes. Support patients during therapy sessions by guiding them through exercises and activities as directed by the physiotherapist. Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist. Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress, using appropriate medical terminology. Educate patients and their families on exercises and techniques to be performed at home to aid recovery. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the home environment.

Requirements

Previous experience or training in a healthcare setting is preferred, with a focus on patient care. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy is essential for effective communication and understanding of treatment protocols. Experience working with elderly clients would be beneficial Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Ability to work collaboratively with the physiotherapis. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail to maintain accurate records and manage treatment schedules effectively.
