Job Description

We are recruiting for an efficient and responsible individual to join our well-established physiotherapy team, working at rehabilitation units across multiple locations in the North West. We are looking for someone enthusiastic, motivated, and dedicated to join our friendly team.

The successful applicant will have the confidence and ability to provide physiotherapist guided treatment and ongoing rehabilitation to patients with complex neurological presentations such as Stroke or Brain Injury. They will be reliable and able to support the physiotherapist leading the shift.

This is a fast paced and exciting role which would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, with at least one-year working as a therapy assistant or two-years as a health care assistant, preferably with neurological presentations, with excellent organisational and communication skills.

:

Physiotherapy Assistant (PTA), full time (five shifts per week), Monday-Friday, Self-employed, 15.00 per hour.

Ability to commute to and work in rehabilitation units located in Liverpool and Chester.

The Physiotherapy Managers of Neurological Physiotherapy.

The Role:



Our well-regarded team is looking for a reliable and dedicated physiotherapy assistant to assist in the treatment and ongoing rehabilitation of patients with a complex neurological presentation.

Responsibilities:



? To directly work with adults who have long term neurological conditions and complex presentations to aid their rehabilitation.

? To support physiotherapists in the provision and development of high quality therapeutic management of patients.

? To undertake skilled therapy work which involves clinical techniques requiring a high level of technical skills to assess and treat patients as well as administrative duties to support the physiotherapy service.

? To organise work responsibilities; assist with data collection and analysis and bring forward ideas for service development.

? To understand evidence based practice and deliver care in line with current evidence, conduct delegated new patient assessments, determine, and implement care plans, and modify treatment in response to patient outcomes.

Essential skills:



? A minimum of one year's experience as a therapy assistant or two years as a health care assistant, ideally working with neurological conditions.

? An NVQ level 2 health related qualification, or willingness to complete this qualification whilst in the role.

? A warm and personable demeanour and ability to support individuals with physical/communication/cognitive impairments.

? Excellent organisational and communication skills.

? Competency in using databases.

? Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

? Experience of setting up and maintaining basic spreadsheets/filing systems.

? Ability to work to set procedures and guidelines.

? Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately and maintain patient confidentiality.
