We are looking for a motivated Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor with excellent Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation experience to work within our well-established Medicine Physiotherapy team.
Due to a practical element, the interview will be face to face only.
This role will be focused on providing a high standard of Physiotherapy treatment and evaluation to clients within our In-Patient Medicine Service at St Richard's Hospital, Chichester.
Working within a wider team of Physiotherapists and Technical Instructors you will have the opportunity to work independently and alongside strong and supportive multi-disciplinary teams utilising your excellent assessment and problem solving skills. You will be well supported by a Band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist, Band 6 and Band 5 Physiotherapists, a Band 4 peer and Band 3 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor. You will also work very closely with the Occupational Therapy Team that cover the medical wards.
You will have excellent opportunities for your own skills development, working within a strong group peers. The role will have increased responsibility for assessing and treating more complex patients, progressing these patients through pathways of care and include comprehensive involvement in planning and discharge.
Provide skilled and insightful aid in the rehabilitation of medical in-patients.
Conduct a full episode of care from assessment to discharge for a specified designated clinical caseload.
Manage a patient caseload and treat appropriately; being able to make alterations when required by assessment of patient progression.
Work in varied and unsupervised settings, with personal or telephone access to qualified Physiotherapist.
Provide non-clinical services to the physiotherapy team e.g. administrative duties, maintaining a safe environment and maintaining equipment.
Undertake relevant service development projects.
Undertake the assessment and discharge of a range of patients.
Provide educational support to patients, carers and less experienced staff in unsupervised settings.
