We are currently seeking passionate and experienced

freelance teachers

for the following roles:

Piano Teacher

- experience in jazz piano is especially desirable

Singing Teacher

- ability to teach

any style

Music Theory Teacher

- ability to teach alongside singing is a bonus

Piano Teacher (Jazz Specialist Preferred)



Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic

Piano Teacher

to join our team. While we welcome all piano specialists,

a background in jazz piano

is especially desirable. The role involves one-to-one tuition in students' homes, online, or from your own teaching space if local. Our SE22 location may also be available, subject to scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Teach piano to a range of ages and skill levels Tailor lessons to each student's goals (exams, auditions, or personal development) Introduce or develop improvisation and jazz styles where appropriate Prepare students for ABRSM/Trinity exams and performances Use our Music Portal to manage scheduling, lesson notes, and communication
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' teaching experience Strong jazz background Degree in music or equivalent (preferred) Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) Based in or near SE London, or able to teach online
Schedule & Pay

Part-time freelance position Flexible hours 45-55/hour (depending on experience) Start with a small number of students and grow your timetable with our support

Singing Teacher

Role Overview



We are looking for a versatile

Singing Teacher

to deliver one-to-one lessons to children and adults across a range of styles. You should be confident working with both beginners and experienced singers, and able to adapt your approach to suit each student's musical interests and learning style.

Key Responsibilities

Provide engaging vocal lessons (classical, pop, musical theatre, or mixed styles) Support students preparing for graded exams, auditions, and performances Help build vocal technique, confidence, and musicality Communicate clearly with students and families Use our Music Portal for scheduling and notes
Requirements

Minimum 3 years' one-to-one vocal teaching experience Flexible and supportive approach Music degree or equivalent (preferred) DBS (or willingness to obtain) Based in or near SE London, or able to teach online

Music Theory & Aural Teacher

Role Overview



We are seeking a knowledgeable

Music Theory & Aural Teacher

to deliver personalised lessons for students preparing for

ABRSM/Trinity theory exams

,

aural components

, and

Music Aptitude Tests (MATs)

. The ability to

support vocal training

(e.g., sight-singing, pitch work, rhythm exercises) is a bonus.

Lessons may take place in students' homes, online, or from your own space. Use of our SE22 teaching studio may also be available depending on scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Teach music theory and aural in a clear, engaging way Support students preparing for exams, MATs, or music scholarship applications Help reinforce aural and musicianship skills alongside instrumental or vocal study Tailor lessons to suit different learning styles Use our Music Portal for organisation and communication
Requirements

At least 2 years' teaching experience Strong musicianship, with excellent theory and aural skills Comfortable supporting students with vocal work (sight-singing, pitch accuracy, etc.) Degree in music or equivalent (preferred) Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain Based in or near SE London, or able to teach online
Schedule & Pay

Part-time freelance Flexible working hours 45-55/hour depending on experience Build your timetable gradually with our support
