Guitar Teacher Bushey isn't just another agency. We're a community of 20+ tutors and nearly 200 students in SW Herts and NW London.

Tutor Levels & Pay

Student Tutor - From 24/hr home | 14/hr online

For capable players (Grade 8+) aged 18-25 or recent graduates keen to gain real teaching experience. Includes mentoring and progression to Pro Tutor after 1-2 years.5 or recent graduates keen to gain real teaching experience. Includes mentoring and progression to Pro Tutor after 1-2 years.

Pro Tutor - From 32/hr home | 22/hr online

For music graduates with 1-2 years of full-time teaching experience, or experienced tutors ready to teach independently to GTB standards. Typical entry level for most tutors, with the opportunity to progress to Trusted Tutor after 12-24 months.

Trusted Tutor - From 40/hr home | 30/hr online

For experienced professionals with conservatoire-level training or equivalent. Must demonstrate consistently excellent teaching, organisation, and communication.

Super Tutor - From 56/hr home | 38/hr online

For elite educators with 10+ years' experience and exceptional teaching or performing backgrounds. Ambassadors for GTB, setting the highest professional and musical standards.

What we're looking for

Musical excellence and a genuine interest in teaching - required*
Experience with students aged 6+, including adults - required for Pro Tutor+*
Reliable, professional and good with parents - required*
A degree in music - desired (required to start as Trusted Tutor+)*
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one) and relevant safeguarding training - required*
Available and looking to take on at least two days of work (you can pick your days) on weekdays 4-8pm or weekends - required*
Ideally based within 30 minutes of the advertised teaching position, unless you are in the area already - required

A car is useful for home lessons, but tutors with a suitable home teaching space are also welcome - desired*
