Responsibilities
Safely operate a pick-up truck with manual transmission to deliver goods across designated routes.
Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual lifting techniques, ensuring proper handling and secure placement of items.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and report any issues promptly.
Plan efficient delivery routes to optimize time and fuel consumption while meeting delivery deadlines.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients during pickups and deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns professionally.
Assist with warehouse activities such as inventory management, moving items within storage areas, and maintaining organization.
Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure safe driving practices at all times.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and load/unload records for accountability.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and route adjustments as needed.
Experience
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably operating pick up trucks or similar commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
Strong background in warehouse operations, including heavy lifting, moving items, and equipment handling like forklifts or pallet jacks.
Excellent driving record with knowledge of route driving and traffic regulations.
Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients during deliveries.
Ability to perform manual tasks such as loading/unloading cargo safely and efficiently.
Familiarity with heavy lifting techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
Previous experience working in logistics or transportation industries is highly desirable. transport of steel products desirable and a current forklift truck license.
