LM Ground Facilities Ltd is a growing contractor in London specialising in
piling, groundworks, and civil engineering
. We are looking for an experienced
Estimator
with strong technical knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to produce accurate and competitive tenders for piling and groundworks projects.
This is an in-house position with long-term stability and strong career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate estimates, quotations, and tender submissions for
piling and groundworks packages
.
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and project documentation.
Prepare take-offs, BOQs, material and labour schedules, and cost breakdowns.
Source quotations from suppliers and subcontractors, analyse returns, and negotiate best pricing.
Work closely with directors, engineers, and site teams to ensure cost accuracy and buildability.
Identify project risks, opportunities, and value-engineering options.
Maintain cost databases, pricing models, and tender records using
MS Excel and MS Office
.
Attend pre-tender meetings, client discussions, and technical reviews.
Requirements
Proven experience as an
Estimator
in piling, groundworks, or civil engineering.
Strong understanding of piling, RC works, foundations, and enabling works.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Highly proficient in
MS Office
.
Ability to read drawings, carry out accurate take-offs, and work to deadlines.
Strong commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
What We Offer
50,000 - 80,000 salary
(depending on experience).
