Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various materials and tools. As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining piping systems in accordance with schematics and project specifications. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Assemble and install piping systems according to schematics and project requirements. Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and join pipes. Plumb pipes for water, gas, or other fluids while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Solder joints and fittings to create secure connections within the piping system. Perform stick welding as necessary for pipe assembly and repair. Maintain existing piping systems by inspecting for leaks or damage and conducting repairs as needed. Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure seamless integration of piping systems into larger projects. Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times while working on-site.

Requirements

CSCS, IPAF or MEWP, SCC Safety Certificate, and Full UK Driving License Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to pipefitting tasks. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks, including lifting heavy materials when required. A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety on-site.

Pay: 26.00-28.00 per hour
