We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of piping systems in various settings. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to work with hand and power tools. The Pipefitter will play a crucial role in ensuring that all piping systems are built to specifications and operate efficiently.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems. Assemble, install, and maintain piping systems using various materials such as steel, copper, and plastic. Perform welding tasks including stick welding to join pipes and fittings securely. Use hand tools and power tools effectively to cut, shape, and fit piping components. Conduct regular inspections of piping systems to identify leaks or malfunctions. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and industry standards. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Requirements

Proficient in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in plumbing or related fields. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Experience with welding techniques, particularly stick welding is advantageous. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise. Capable of working independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 16.95-30.33 per hour
