Pipefitter / Welder

We are seeking an experienced, permanent Pipefitter to join our mobile engineering team based in Glasgow.

At Alba, we operate a 4 day working week. The successful candidate will receive a salary equivalent to working 5 days (40 hours) in exchange for working 4 days (34 hours) each week. Reporting to the Building Services Supervisor the ideal candidate will have a good understanding of commercial works and will be required to represent the business in a proud, professional manner.

You will have a proven track record of being able to work without supervision and with initiative. You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of H&S requirements, water regulations and applicable Building Regulations.

What will you do?

Work to the highest standards of Health & Safety ensuring policies, risk assessments and method statements are adhered to Establish requirements of quoted jobs / projects Attend commercial maintenance and quoted jobs including commercial boiler changes, plant room refurbishments and pump changes Complete detailed job reports and compliance certifications Provide excellent customer service to our clients and Helpdesk alike Liaise effectively with the Helpdesk, line manager and wider engineering team

What skills and qualifications will you have?

SVQ Level 3: Heating and Ventilating Installation (Industrial and Commercial) - essential 3+ years experience as a pipefitter (essential) Competent to weld with relevant qualifications Ability to read schematic drawings CSCS card (desirable) IPAF and PASMA (desirable) Strong team player 'Right first time' attitude Full UK driving licence

The core hours of work are weekdays 8am - 5pm with occasional weekend working and overtime as required by the Company.
