About the Role

Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD) is looking for a Pipe Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Installation, assembling, repairing and maintaining of stainless-steel hydraulic piping systems.

About The Role

Key Responsibilities

Reading and interoperating technical drawings and schematics. Measuring, cutting, threading and bending pipes to required shapes using hand and power tools or machines. Monitoring the quality of pipes and other materials to avoid errors and ensure specifications are met. Maintaining accurate records of pipe dimensions, materials and other procedures. Updating maintenance and installation records upon completion of tasks. Comply with all relevant and appropriate safety guidelines. Close collaboration with other departments including Engineers, workshop technicians and quality.

What skills and qualifications do I need?

Apprenticeship and relevant qualifications to this role Strong experience in pipe fitting and hydraulics Excellent communications skills with a proactive attitude and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Health and Safety conscious, great attention to detail and a team player

Required Criteria

HNC qualification or equivalent experience Strong experience in pipe fitting and hydraulics
