We are a family run Italian-American style takeaway business in the heart of Chester-le-Street. Opening in 2010, we pride ourselves on reputation, along with our excellent quality ingredients which are all prepared fresh and in house daily.

CHEF - PART TIME ROLE

You will be responsible for food preparation and other relative activities. You will be responsible for cooking and preparing pizzas, grills, kebabs etc. Experience with fresh dough is preferred however full training will be required. The ability to work well in a team is a must.

You will be required to communicate well, take customer orders both in person and over the phone and also ensure general cleaning duties are taken care of.

Must be available on weekends and evening shifts, beginning at 4.30pm. 24 hours/week.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the restaurant's menu and standards. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items, ensuring creativity and innovation. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations. Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring that all meals are prepared in a timely manner. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service times. Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as necessary. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order and report any issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar culinary role within a restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations. Excellent skills in meal preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Good organisational skills with attention to detail. A passion for culinary arts and creativity in food presentation. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
