Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef to join our culinary team. Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to established recipes and menus. Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, following food safety regulations. Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan and execute meal preparation efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients when possible. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management. Provide excellent service by ensuring dishes are served promptly and presented attractively. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting. Strong culinary skills with an understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation. Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with the ability to work under pressure during busy service times. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate teamwork within the kitchen. A creative approach to menu development, with an enthusiasm for experimenting with new flavours and presentations.
