Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as required Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders when necessary Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff as needed Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance menu offerings

Requirements

Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards of quality A passion for cooking and creating exceptional dining experiences Previous experience in meal preparation, food presentation, and serving is advantageous
