Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Neapolitan Pizza Chef to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas to a high standard, ensuring consistency, speed, and quality during service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIE

Prepare and hand-stretch traditional Neapolitan dough to specification. Operate and manage a high-temperature wood-fired oven (400-500C). Execute high-volume pizza production while maintaining quality and timing. Prepare and manage mise en place for dough, toppings, and sauces. Monitor dough fermentation, hydration, proofing, and overall dough performance. Ensure correct portioning and consistent presentation of all pizzas. Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and cleanliness in accordance with HACCP guidelines. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth service operations. Manage stock rotation, wastage control, and ordering of pizza-related supplies. Contribute to menu development and seasonal specials when required.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILL

lProven experience as a Neapolitan Pizza Chef (minimum 1-2 years). Strong knowledge of AVPN standards (Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana) is a plus. Ability to work confidently with wood-fired ovens. Skilled in dough preparation, fermentation management, and high-hydration doughs. Strong communication skills and the ability to perform under pressure. High attention to detail and commitment to consistent quality. Excellent hygiene standards and a valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to obtain one). Reliability, punctuality, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
