Responsibilities
Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative techniques
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
Oversee junior kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed
Ensure timely delivery of dishes during busy service periods while maintaining quality
Qualifications
Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting
Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent skills in meal preparation and presentation
Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment is highly desirable
Ability to work effectively as part of a team under pressure
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Formal culinary training or relevant certifications are advantageous but not essential
A passion for creating high-quality dishes and delivering exceptional customer service
