Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to maintain quality and consistency Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including equipment and workstations Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to minimise waste Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service periods Serve dishes promptly and professionally to guests, providing excellent customer service when required Follow all health and safety procedures to create a safe working environment for all staff

Experience

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment Familiarity with culinary techniques, meal preparation, and presentation skills Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, with a solid understanding of food safety protocols Experience in serving guests directly or working in customer-facing roles within the hospitality industry is advantageous Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance is preferred
