Duties

Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes according to recipes and standards Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to optimise quality and efficiency Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours Adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of food and equipment Support the training of junior kitchen staff as required

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices Previous experience working in a restaurant or similar hospitality environment is preferred Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team Knowledge of diverse cuisines and culinary techniques is advantageous Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities during busy service times
