Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications Oversee meal preparation, ensuring that all food is prepared in a timely manner and meets quality standards Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and place orders as necessary Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices Ensure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely

Qualifications

Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, preferably with restaurant experience Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the kitchen Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members A passion for cooking and creating memorable dining experiences
