Duties

Supervise kitchen staff and manage team dynamics to foster a collaborative work environment. Plan and prepare menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends. Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality in all dishes served. Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen at all times. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, helping them develop their culinary skills and knowledge. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery during peak hours. Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste. Assist in the development of new recipes and menu items that enhance the restaurant's offerings.

Experience

Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry is essential. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Experience in supervising kitchen staff, demonstrating effective team management abilities. Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen operations. Excellent leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes that delight customers.
