Duties

Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the menu specifications. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, including proper storage of ingredients. Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff on cooking techniques and food safety practices. Participate in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients where possible. Serve meals with attention to presentation and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Proven experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably in a restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines. Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices in meal preparation. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively under pressure. A passion for cooking and creativity in developing new dishes. Strong communication skills to work collaboratively within a team. Previous experience serving food is advantageous but not essential.
