To help achieve our goals, we're looking for a Placements Officer to co-ordinate the administration of non-statutory placements across courses including the MBA and providing a professional service to staff, students and external stakeholders. The postholder will ensure that the end-to-end business process are delivered effectively and to target. The post holder will utilise MetHub, the University's placement monitoring software, to create and update processes for placement administration. The post requires a committed and enthusiastic individual who is an experienced administrator with excellent IT skills and acute attention to detail, as well as the ability to own and complete tasks to a high standard. All credit-bearing placements support the employability and career development of our students which is a focus of the Learning, Teaching & Student Engagement enabling strategy of Strategy 2030.
You'll play a key role in:
Co-ordinating the administration of work placements to fulfil University health and safety requirements
Conveying detailed information regarding work placements orally and in writing to staff, students and external organisations to provide understanding of shared responsibilities
Building relationships with external organisations to ensure quality work placement opportunities for students
Supporting the creation and adaption of placement administration processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy of delivery
Gathering and analysing data on work placements to monitor progress

As Placement Officer, you'll have well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, sound analytical and problem solving capability, as well as the ability to own and complete tasks to a high standard.
