Planned Works Co Ordinator

Birmingham, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Platform Housing Group is one of the largest social housing providers in the Midlands and we are looking for experienced housing professionals to lead our Localities team.

We're looking for an organised and proactive Planned Works Coordinator to join our Capital Investment team at Platform Housing Group. You'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of our planned maintenance programmes -- from kitchen and bathroom replacements to roof renewals -- by ensuring accurate admin, strong coordination, and a seamless customer experience.

You'll provide vital support to our surveyors and contractors by managing planned works data, systems, and communications. You'll provide administrative support through general correspondence and contractual documentation administration including scanning of certificates, notices, surveys, and consultation documents.

This role is a great opportunity if you enjoy working with data, excel, managing multiple systems, and making sure everything runs like clockwork behind the scenes.

Please note, internally this role is known as External Contracts Delivery Coordinator

About You

You'll bring previous experience in an administrative role, where you've worked closely with customers and supported colleagues in delivering a high-quality service. You're confident managing a busy and varied workload, knowing how to prioritise tasks effectively and stay calm under pressure.

You've worked in fast-paced, results-driven environments and take pride in delivering accurate, timely work. You're highly organised, detail-oriented, and used to working with large database systems, including extracting and manipulating data when needed.

Strong communication skills -- both written and verbal -- are essential, and you're comfortable liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders alike. You're also numerate, with the ability to confidently handle data, financial information, and reporting tasks.

You'll need strong IT skills, including experience with Excel. Familiarity with functions such as VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and mail merge would be a real advantage.

Join us and find your purpose at Platform!

Working with us is more than just a job, you will be joining an amazing organisation that values you and your contribution, and where you can truly make a difference and change people's lives.

You will join the largest social housing association in the Midlands. We're much more than just houses; we build homes, strong communities, and make a real and positive difference to the lives of our customers.

We recognise the unique and individual needs of people, so if you are interested in this role but would like to explore a different way of working to the standard Monday to Friday, 9-5 approach, then please highlight this on your application or discuss it with us at the interview stage. After all, we want to attract the best people to work for us and we know that one size does not fit all.

Platform is a great place to work, we offer lots of opportunities for you to get involved, share ideas and shape what we do - from networking groups through to fun community and social events. This is an exciting time to join us, that will provide you with real exposure to the wider dynamics of a truly modern housing association that will play a major part in delivering our 5-year corporate strategy.

If we receive a high number of applications, this vacancy may expire prior to the closing date. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
