Wanderlust Camping Club
- a fast-growing camping organisation working with a number of sites throughout England.
Stamford Shepherd Huts
- designers and makers of luxury, handcrafted shepherd huts for hospitality and private use.
Glamping Site Development
- we're in the early stages of launching our own unique, eco-conscious glamping locations.
This is your chance to work directly with founders, help shape innovative land use projects, and navigate the evolving world of low-impact, rural tourism.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced and adaptable
Planning Consultant
to help us:
F
orm and submit planning applications for campsites, Glamping sites as well as package treatment plants CLUEDS etc
Guide internal planning strategies for our own
new glamping site developments
.
Support clients
of Stamford Shepherd Huts with planning queries and basic feasibility advice.
Liaise with
local authorities, consultants, and outsourced services
as needed.
Research and track changes in
planning law, permitted development rights
, and policy affecting tourism, camping, and agricultural land use.
You'll be working directly with our leadership team, giving strategic input and supporting exciting real-world projects.
About You
RTPI-qualified or equivalent experience in
rural, tourism, or leisure planning
.
A solid understanding of
UK planning law
relating to camping, glamping, and change of land use.
Confident working
independently and flexibly
across multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
Enjoy working with entrepreneurial people, early-stage ideas, and hands-on teams.
Bonus if you have experience with
rural/agricultural development
, sustainability, or outdoor hospitality.
