Jet Aire are looking for a

Planning Lead

to drive the successful delivery of both planned and reactive work streams across our department. This pivotal role calls for a dynamic and forward-thinking leader who can balance operational efficiency with a strong focus on customer service and commercial outcomes. You'll be responsible for inspiring and empowering your team to collaborate effectively, perform at their best, and consistently deliver high-impact, industry-leading results.

Champion a culture of excellence by leading, motivating, and inspiring planners to perform at their best. Set and uphold top-tier operational standards, acting as a role model for the team. Ensure that both you and those around you deliver a first-class service while ensuring the business benefits on a commercial basis. Develop, document, and communicate clear planning processes that align with our strategic goals. Maximise resource utilisation across reactive tasks, scheduled activities, and adhoc requests, promoting cross-business and cross-group efficiency. Set clear goals and manage individual performance by establishing stretching yet achievable targets, supported through regular one-to-one meetings and tailored personal development plans. Proactively plan and schedule work to eliminate downtime and boost productivity. Minimise overdue tasks through active work order management and collaborative stakeholder engagement. Ensure compliance with client SLAs while maintaining speed and effectiveness. Liaise with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to uphold service excellence. Utilise systems including Jet Aire, Adler & Allan, and Northumbrian Water Group to plan and manage workflows. Collect and analyse data to generate process reports that guide performance improvement. Lead the planning team's response during weather events or urgent client incidents, ensuring accurate real-time updates. Support performance analysis by producing reports on KPIs and ad-hoc metrics. Foster a positive, respectful, and engaging working environment for your team.

About you:



Proven experience in a fast-paced planning environment. Strong leadership qualities with confidence to guide and influence. A background in operations, utilities or logistics is an advantageous. Highly organised with strong attention to detail. Energetic, solutions-focused attitude with a drive for continuous improvement. Full clean UK driving licence. Right to work in the UK is essential.
