This is a great opportunity to gain experience in communicating effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders while learning and applying the various elements of public water supply, wastewater systems and planning regulation in a wide range of differing scenarios.

What you'll do

The planning liaison team deal with all types of new development and is a central point of contact for developers, councils, and the public.



As the Planning Liaison Technical Co-ordinator, you will:


triage planning liaison and network capacity enquiries from members of the public, developers and local planning authorities relating to water supply and sewerage matters complete administration and circulation of planning applications and developer enquiries for comment by other technical specialists within the business provide technical response relating to water supply and sewerage matters to developers and local planning authorities for minor schemes (10 dwellings or less) provide support to the Planning Liaison Team on new development proposals, planning policy, strategic development plans and population projections for other parts of the business.

To be successful in this role, you will be a good communicator, be able to work on your own initiative, prioritise enquiries and formulate appropriate responses.



In addition, we are looking for candidates who:


are willing to learn diverse technical skills has an interest in the UK Planning system and development of communities are interested in the operation of drainage and water supply networks have good geographic skills and emerging knowledge of GIS systems and databases.
