Position: Planning & Logistics Manager
Location: Dudley
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite
Our client is a leading provider of supply chain solutions in the plastic packaging industry. Due to growth thy are the hunt for a Logistics Manager within their facility in Dudley!
Role and Responsibilities -
In this role you will lead and coach the logistics team in working proactively towards maximizing our service-level, customer satisfaction and achieving departmental and personal objectives.
Other responsibilities include:
- Liaise with Third Party sites
- Manage the Transport team to ensure up to 600 transfers per week back to sites
- Translating Supply Chain & Operations and other functional business strategies into operational goals with visible metrics
- Accountability for delivering operational requirements. Setting annual budgets, monitoring and controlling all expenses and operational costs.
- Proven experience in a previous fast paced logistics manager role
- Expert liaison sills with third party sites and being able to show continuous improvement techniques with them
- Data analysis driven - using it to improve on KPIs and examples of how to do so
- Desirable knowledge of the food safety industry and ISO practices that they adhere too
