Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented
Planning, Warehouse, and Logistics Manager
to lead and optimise our operations within our packaging manufacturing facility. This critical role will oversee production planning, raw material and finished goods warehousing, and inbound/outbound logistics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing operations, particularly in fast-paced, high-volume, quality focused environments. You will be tasked to drive efficiency, accuracy, and assist in cost-effectiveness across the supply chain. As a member of the management team, you will be key in helping deliver the growth plans of the business and ensure the company remains a market leader in the packaging sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Material Planning:
Develop and manage detailed production plans based on sales forecasts, order demand, and capacity constraints.
Coordinate closely with sales, procurement, and production teams to ensure raw material availability aligns with production schedules.
Monitor usage rates and lead times for key inputs like resins, additives, inks, and packaging materials to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Analyse planning KPIs (e.g., OTIF, schedule adherence) and adjust strategies to improve forecast accuracy and manufacturing efficiency.
Ensure compliance with quality standards and production specifications.
Support Continuous improvement initiatives.
Warehouse Management:
Oversee daily operations of raw material and finished goods warehouses to ensure safe, clean, and organized storage.
Implement FIFO/FEFO inventory practices for materials sensitive to shelf-life or regulatory compliance.
Ensure full traceability and batch control for all materials and finished products in line with quality and regulatory standards.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
Logistics & Distribution:
Lead the logistics team, overseeing inbound and outbound logistics, including carrier selection, freight optimisation, and transportation scheduling.
Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and internal stakeholders while maintaining cost efficiency.
Monitor logistics KPIs and manage third-party logistics (3PL) providers as required.
Address and resolve any logistics-related issues, including delays, damage, or compliance concerns
Requirements:
Higher Level Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain, warehouse, or logistics management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of ERP systems, inventory management, and logistics software.
Proven ability to manage teams, optimise processes, and drive efficiency.
Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., health & safety, import/export compliance).
