Planning Manager

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Planning Manager to lead operations in their Repairs and Maintenance (R&M) division within the water industry.
As Planning Manager, you will take full ownership of planning and coordinating day-to-day R&M activities, including leakage repairs, meter installations, and stop tap maintenance. You'll manage a large, skilled team of 50+ field operatives, including plumbers, supervisors, and team leaders, ensuring high performance and efficient service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the
planning and scheduling
of R&M works across a regional network. Manage and motivate a team ofplumbers, team leaders, and supervisors
(50+ staff). Optimise resource allocation and ensure timely, high-quality service delivery. Monitor team performance and drive continuous improvement in planning and execution. Collaborate with senior leadership and operational teams to align plans with business goals. Ensure compliance withhealth & safety regulations
, company policies, and industry standards.Solve operational challenges quickly and effectively, maintaining service continuity.
Requirements:
Proven experience
in a Planning Manager or similar role within thewater, utilities, or infrastructure sector
. Strong background inrepairs and maintenance
operations, ideally includingleakage, metering
, and stop taps. Confident leader with experience managinglarge field teams
in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organisational, communication, and decision-making skills. * Must beoffice-based full time-
