We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Planning & Production Technician to join our Production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the product development, production, packaging, quality control and inspection in addition to the maintenance, and operation of production equipments, ensuring smooth workflow and high-quality output.
Duties
Supports Production and product development team in assessing existing and alternative production methods
Works from, and helps implement, chemical formulations and specifications for various products, and helps implement modifications required for existing plant machinery/layout
Works with production team on production control methods to monitor operational efficiency and helps to eliminate potential hazards and bottlenecks in production
Liaises with materials buying, storing and controlling departments to ensure a steady flow of supplies
Supports production team in reviewing safety, quality, accuracy, reliability and statutory requirements
supports implementation of plans of sequence of operations and completion dates for each phase of production or packaging
Ensures implementation of inspection, testing and evaluation methods for bought-in raw-materials, components, semi-finished and finished products
Plans and coordinates maintenance activities involved in production and packaging procedures
Ensures accuracy of Production, packaging and testing equipments
Reviews and analyses production data
Plans the cost impact and staff resources for the projects and support management
Operate and monitor various production machinery, adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
Conduct routine inspections of production vessels, packaging machinery and other equipments, identifying and reporting any faults or irregularities.
Organise materials and components within the warehouse or production area for efficient workflow.
Support the team in packaging finished products and preparing them for dispatch.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment, complying with health and safety regulations at all times.
Experience
Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is desirable.
Experience with production and packaging processes or working in a process plant environment will be considered a plus.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in manufacturing operations, ideal for individuals eager to expand their technical skills within a supportive team setting.
