Main Purpose of the Role:



As a Junior Production Technician, you will undertake an in-depth training programme covering all aspects of 'Grain and other Cereal Milling'. The learning and development programme will develop your knowledge of Flour Milling through the completion of all UKFM (UK Flour Millers) Flour Milling Correspondence Courses, as well as learning the practical skills required. This role will support all functions of production and require adaptable working hours to assist plant operation as necessary. The shift pattern for this role is 40 hours per week and could include nights, afternoons, days and weekend work, to ensure production demands are met.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:



To Support and learn the Silo, FHT, Mill, Large Pack, Small Pack, Warehouse and Lab operations.

Reporting of any issues affecting performance and/or quality

Undertake maintenance and cleaning activities as required

Work with team members to best meet the needs of the manufacturing/out loading plan

Work with hygiene to ensure continuous reduction in pest activity

Assist with maintenance and shutdown activities

Complete all tasks in accordance with company guidelines

Identify hazards through the appropriate processes and ensure others are not at risk

Ensure the application of HACCP and other procedures (GMP's) to maintain product integrity

Co-operate and work with the cleaning teams to give an integrated approach to plant hygiene

To be proactive in suggesting process improvements, raise/respond to non-conformances in the process

Conform to all CCP (Critical Control Point) procedures

Ensure all product is checked and meets set specifications prior to it leaving site
