Commercial law firm with a strong reputation in the South-West (and beyond) is looking to recruit two Planning Solicitors or Barristers - one of 0 to 1 year PQE/Call and the other of two or more years' PQE/Call. The Planning team is currently advising on some of the largest developments in the country including large scale strategic development, nationally significant energy and infrastructure development, planning obligations, community infrastructure levy, lawful development certificates and highways. They act for promoters of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, Developments of National Significance (in Wales) and Transport and Works Act Orders.The successful candidates will run their own caseload of smaller matters (with an appropriate level of Partner supervision depending on your level of PQE) as well as assisting the Partners and more senior members of the team on larger matters. The Planning team covers the full remit of Planning law matters, meaning you will also support other teams in the firm on property acquisitions and disposals, as well as advise on contentious planning matters such as enforcement, compulsory purchase, judicial reviews, statutory challenges and appeals.
