We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all tools that are returned to the hire depot on a daily basis
Responsibilities
Ensure tools are inspected and fit for purpose prior to customer hire
Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems and components.
Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the fitting process.
Collaborate with engineers and other fitters to optimise production processes.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Document work completed, including any modifications or repairs made during the fitting process.
Experience
Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments used in fitting tasks.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
A relevant qualification or apprenticeship in engineering or mechanical fitting is advantageous but not essential.
