Plant Area Assistant - 3 Day a week Part- Time / Seasonal

Chacewater Garden Centre is a fast growing, independent garden centre, just on the outskirts of Threemilestone, Truro. We specialise in offering our customers a friendly welcome and a great shopping experience. We are looking to add a part-time member of the 'plant' team who can offer great horticulture experience and a professional and friendly service.

There are 2 posts available:

3 days to include a Sunday

or

3 days to include a Saturday

This vacancy is seasonal to cover our busy Spring period and will be a fixed term contract of 3 months - 1st March to 1st June.

You will be working in the plant area where main duties will involve watering, helping customers with their purchases amongst other duties.

You must be able to follow instructions, guidance and be comfortable working in all weathers.

KEY SKILLS

Passion for plants and horticulture an advantage Hard working, loyal and dedicated Friendly and confident to talk to the customers Fit and strong and able to lift heavy plants and compost
JOB ROLES

Helping customers to their cars with compost and other heavy items Watering, weeding and sweeping Getting their hands dirty, assisting wherever needed Keeping the plant area clean and tidy

Pay: Up to 12.71 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
