Blackbrooks Garden Centre is a well-established, customer-focused business known for high-quality plants, excellent service, and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. We are looking for an enthusiastic Plant Area Sales Assistant to join our team at our Sedlescombe site.
Role Overview:
This role involves supporting customers, caring for plants, and keeping the plant area looking its best. It is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, has a passion for horticulture, and thrives in a lively retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting customers with plant selection and offering helpful advice.
Maintaining plant health through watering, pruning, and general care.
Ensuring the plant area is tidy, well-presented, and fully stocked.
Operating the till and processing transactions when needed.
Supporting deliveries and replenishing plant displays.
Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service at all times.
Requirements
Passion for plants, gardening, or horticulture (experience is a bonus).
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather.
Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
Physically able to lift and move plants and stock.
Willingness to work weekends and busy seasonal periods.
