Job Description

Belton Garden Centre are recruiting for an experienced PLANT AREA MANAGER to join their independent, family run Garden Centre.

Tuesday to Saturday 07:45 - 17.15

. The ideal candidate will be flexible in their approach to hours/days, especially in peak season.

Start Date: ASAP

Working with 2 plant area assistants, this is a key role in the centre's team. This includes hardy, seasonal and indoor plants.

Ideal candidates will have:

Extensive Garden Centre & Plant Area experience Excellent plant knowledge Ability to lead, inspire and manage the plant area team Plant sourcing & buying experience A friendly, approachable & customer focussed manner Oversee the day to day plant area operation, create impulsive and inspiring displays & develop linked sales Act as site Duty Manager with key holder responsibility
Highly desirable skills also include familiarity with fully integrated EPOS stock management systems and up to date first aid & forklift qualification.

This role also includes adaptability to assist in other departments, subject to seasonal demand.

Salary will be dependent upon experience.
