Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.



The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the

in their highly complex market!

Vacancy Details

In the Plant Coordinator position you will work as part of a team coordinating the hire, delivery and collection of powered access equipment, telehandlers & mobile cranes for sites across UK mainland & Europe. The role involves daily production of hire contracts and purchase orders along with arrangement of delivery and collection appointments for each site.



Key Responsibilities:


Process orders, off-hires, and contracts amendments using rental software. Coordinate the hire, delivery, and collection of plant equipment by liaising with site teams and trusted suppliers via email & telephone. Maintain accurate records of plant condition at delivery & collection from site. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety inspections for hired plant ensuring compliance with operational standards. Report plant breakdowns to the supplier and coordinate the repair or replacement of equipment. Monitor owned plant availability and optimise utilisation to achieve business targets. Accurately process supplier invoices, resolving any discrepancies promptly. Build a strong understanding of supplier rates, equipment capabilities, and safety requirements to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Key Skills & experience

It would be advantageous to have at least 2 years of experience in construction or plant hire. Familiarity with construction sites and equipment--especially telehandlers
