Summary



We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Plant Coordinator to join our team and manage our extensive fleet of plant and equipment. Working closely with our operations and procurement departments, you will ensure that projects are adequately resourced with the right machinery and services, contributing directly to project success and profitability.

Key Responsibilities



Coordinate the hire of all internal and external plant and equipment required for various contracts. Act as the primary point of contact between site teams, suppliers, and internal departments. Maintain and update all plant trackers and hire records accurately. Ensure all plant is on-hired and off-hired correctly in the relevant systems. Liaise with site managers to schedule the timely delivery, movement, and collection of plant and vehicles. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external plant hire suppliers. Support project timelines by ensuring the availability of necessary equipment. Contribute to cost control and optimisation of plant operations. Help enforce safety protocols and procedures in accordance with company policies and industry regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.

Skills & Qualifications



Proven experience in plant coordination, plant hire, small tools and road sweepers. Previous experience in a similar role within the civil engineering or construction industry. Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of vehicles, heavy equipment machinery and small tools. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is essential. Experience with plant management systems such as

Syrinx

and tracking software is desirable. Effective communication and people skills. Ability to work proactively to solve problems and ensure continuity of work. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment
