Control and manage site-engineering activities.


Responsible for operational reliability and performance (this underpins the success of our business) Responsible for cost effective maintenance and development of all plant and equipment on our Skinningrove site. Monitor and direct engineering expenditure in accordance with defined standards and negotiate contracts up to major project status. Continuous monitoring / appraisal of plant and equipment performance, compilation and presentation of major maintenance submissions, and the leadership of availability improvement, cost reduction and reliability engineering programmes. Ensure that all legislative requirements are satisfied by establishing and maintaining statutory and mandatory equipment registers.


Ensuring regular monitoring and maintenance of environmental control equipment.

What we need to know about you



Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline and preferably a corporate member of an engineering institute. Significant experience of operating in a management role in engineering and maintenance management.

The ability to optimise plant performance and the potential to effect improvement by using engineering control techniques, such as long-term planning, co-ordination of resources and engineering.
the development and implementation of major capital schemes.
A well-developed multi-discipline management capacity.

Experience of managing within a heavy industrial environment is essential, ideally within a hot rolling, metal forming or other similar industry.

Equal weighting consideration will be given to qualifications and experience.
