Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Static Plant Engineer to join our team working in the Quarrying and construction industry over multiple sites in and around Shepton Mallet, Somerset. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and improvements to static plant and equipment, ensuring optimal performance while working to high safety standards.

This role requires a confident approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well with various teams to ensure that plant breakdowns and scheduled maintenance are carried out in a efficient and safe manner.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular inspections of plant equipment and facilities to identify any maintenance needs. Carry out preventative maintenance tasks to minimise downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, and hydraulic issues on static plant. Work along side production teams to insure the maximum overall efficiency of the plant.

Requirements

Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with health and safety regulations within an industrial setting. Strong communication skills. Welding skills (MIG & ARC Welding) Basic fabricating skills Full UK Driving licence
Monday - Friday 07:00am - 17:00pm

Saturday 06:00am - 11:00am (Overtime)
