This is an excellent role for a 'hands on' individual looking to work within a busy environment for a growing business on long term projects for SPEN and SSE.
The ideal candidate(s) will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a passion for working with plant and machinery.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities
Service, maintain, and repair a variety of plant equipment including diggers (various sizes), dumpers, tractors, recycling plant (screener/crusher)
Diagnose faults and perform timely repairs to minimise downtime.
Out of Hours Call Out (occasionally) to sites for urgent plant repairs.
Maintain service records and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Manage parts and inventory efficiently.
Carry out any other duties, as instructed by the supervisory staff, which are commensurate to the Grade of this post.
To be considered for this role, you should have:-
Proven experience working on a broad range of plant.
Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic fault-finding skills.
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
Good communication skills and a practical, problem-solving mindset.
Computer Literacy - basic understanding of word, excel and an ability to use mobile technology - apps
Qualifications required - NVQ or equivalent in Plant Maintenance
