Monday - Friday (flexible days/hours may be considered)
We have an opportunity for a plant fitter to join our team in Portadown. You will play a key role in ensuring all machinery is maintained to a high standard, minimising downtime and supporting the smooth delivery of projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Service, repair and maintain a wide range of heavy plant machinery and fleet vehicles. Carry out reactive repairs and planned preventative maintenance in line with schedules. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults and complete timely repairs. Perform welding and fabrication tasks as required. Ensure all plant and equipment are safe, compliant with legislation and fully operational for site use. Accurately record and maintain all service, repair and inspection documentation.
Qualifications and skills:
Previous experience as a plant fitter or similar role within construction or heavy machinery maintenance. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plant maintenance and repair. Experience in welding and fabrication. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience operating a telehandler. Full valid UK driving licence.
